19/06/17 - Introduction to Core Maths

4.30pm – 6.00pm, Walsall College
  • How many of your 16-18 students are studying maths?

Did you know from 2017 a new measure has been introduced for the number of your students who achieve a level 3 maths qualification?

Complementing A-Level, Core Maths is the new qualification which will ensure your students achieve this, additional UCAS points, and much more.

If Core Maths is new to you, or you have heard about Core Maths and want to find out more, please join us at Walsall College (The Hub) for a free Core Maths workshop on Monday 19th June, 4.30pm – 6.00pm

    You will:
 Receive a briefing on the role of Core Maths in the government’s strategy for all students to study maths in some form to the age of 18, and on recent developments in Core Maths
 Become familiar with the Core Maths examinations offered by five Awarding Organisations
 Be introduced to a range of resources freely available for the delivery of Core Maths in your centre
 Experience how Core Maths supports students with statistics and number demands in other subjects, whether science or humanities
