The definitions task Averages and spread 1 and the worked examples Averages and spread 2 would be a good start to a revision lesson that explored the advantages and disadvantages of each measure as well as when each is appropriate and why there is more than one way to measure both average and spread. Alternatively, they could be used as guidance sheets for students’ independent revision.
